Air Quality Sensors for Tunnels and Parkings Pillard Opastop® GP3050ST monitors dust level in road and train tunnels as well as underground parkings, providing continuous and accurate measures of air quality.

An ultimate solution

The Pillard Opastop® GP3050ST is the ultimate solution to measure pollution level in traffic areas (road and train tunnels, underground car parks), ensuring air quality and visibility. The air sample drawn through an integrated fan crosses a measuring vessel fitted with a high power light emitting diode and a measuring cell. As a result, this cell positioned at 90 degrees to the emitting diode estimates opacity by the reflection of light on the particles in suspension. Then, a second cell located opposite the emitting diode is used to monitor and quantify the optics fouling to automatically correct any drift.

Accurate and real-time measures

Air Quality Sensors for Tunnels and Parkings provide accurate results eliminating distorted measures due to monitor fouling. Also, the optical back-scatter on 2 sample points allows continuous dust level readings.

Pollution and noise in urban areas are an affront to the quality of life and health of citizens. That is why, air quality and well-being in urban areas are now regarded as rallying themes and represent a major public health issue for local authorities. Therefore, a number of different parameters can be measured such as noise, photo-chemical pollution NO2 (Nitrogen Dioxyde) or even fine particles. In addition, pollutants are measured on a regular basis at the level of ears and respiratory tracts.

The Pillard Air Quality Sensors for Tunnels and Parkings enable fast and accurate monitoring of the air quality and traffic emissions in underground parking facility (UPF) using carbon monoxide (CO), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) and Opacity as Air quality indicators. For this purpose, concentrations of pollutants are measured simultaneously and continuously and respective concentrations transmitted realtime to the BMS (Building Management System) and UPF control room.

Furthermore, vehicular emission factors (EFs) are controlled and the ventilation rates required to maintain pollutant concentrations within acceptable standards.
