Multi-metal smelter partners with AquaGas

One of the world’s largest multi-metal smelters, located in a remote region, produces lead, silver, and by-products such as sulphuric acid.

Industrial facilities must comply with strict environmental regulations to fully assess the potential impact of their activities on the surrounding environment. To ensure that they comply with the regulatory standards and maintain high environmental performance, the smelter awarded AquaGas Pty Ltd the contract for the supply, installation, commissioning, and long-term servicing of their Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS).

The CEMS supplied by AquaGas Pty Ltd to the smelter are state-of-the-art and designed to continuously monitor the emissions of pollutants such as sulphur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxide (NOx) and VOCs. The data collected from the CEMS has been used to identify areas of potential improvement and optimize the smelter’s operations, resulting in better environmental performance.

Thanks to AquaGas Pty Ltd’s proficiency in air quality monitoring solutions and the provision of CEMS, the smelter is now ecologically efficient while sustaining their production levels.
